China News Service, Seoul, March 2 (Reporter Liu Xu) At 12 noon on the 1st local time, the Seoul Metropolitan Government held a bell-ringing ceremony at Bosingak to commemorate the 104th anniversary of the "March 1st Movement".

This is the first time the event has returned to offline after four years.

  Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, descendants of independent meritorious persons and others participated in the bell-ringing ceremony. They were divided into three groups of four people and rang the bell 11 times, a total of 33 times.

According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the bell ringers on that day included Korean actor Yoon Joo-bin and history lecturer Choi Due-sung.

As a descendant of Yoon Bong-gil, Yoon Joo-bin is actively promoting content related to the Anti-Japanese Movement.

Choi Tae-sung provided various historical education such as the history of the Anti-Japanese Movement, donated money to the descendants of independence activists, and enhanced citizens' historical awareness.

  The Minister of Culture of Seoul Metropolitan Government said: "Holding the bell-ringing ceremony on March 1st at Bosingak, the center of the March 1st Movement, is of great significance to carry forward the spirit of saving the nation." All citizens can remember the wishes of the martyrs who died in the country and cherish their meaning."

  On March 1, 1919, the "March First Movement" against Japanese colonial rule broke out on the Korean Peninsula.

In 1949, the South Korean government designated March 1 as a national legal memorial day.
