Icade has chosen its future new CEO.

Nicolas Joly, 40, formerly of Casino Immobilier, will succeed Olivier Wigniolle, who has headed the real estate subsidiary of the Caisse des dépôts et consignations since 2015. In charge of defining a new strategy for the developer, Nicolas Joly will take office on April 21. .

Icade, real estate subsidiary of the Caisse des dépôts et consignations, announced Thursday that it has chosen its next managing director, Nicolas Joly, until then president of Casino Immobilier.

Nicolas Joly, 40, will be formally appointed at the group's general meeting on April 21, succeeding Olivier Wigniolle, group chief executive since 2015.

A career spent with the biggest promoters

Director of mergers and acquisitions projects for the Casino group and president of Casino Immobilier since 2016, Nicolas Joly joined the distribution heavyweight in 2008, after four years at Unibail-Rodamco.

He "will be responsible for defining a new strategy adapted to the new real estate and financial environment which brings opportunities for Icade", declared in a press release the chairman of the board of directors, Frédéric Thomas.

As a developer, tertiary property company and health property company, Icade seeks to finance the growth of its health subsidiary which manages clinics or nursing homes in several European countries.

The group, which for a time considered listing its health subsidiary on the stock exchange, now favors other means of raising funds.
