• Congress The PSOE panics: "Sánchez is passive and the 'Meditor case' is running over us"

The Popular Party has decided to register this Wednesday in

Congress

the request for the creation of an investigation commission on the

Mediator case

.

The

popular ones

thus finally take a step that they have meditated on in recent days and for which they hope against with the support of all parliamentary groups, including the socialist one.

This was announced by the spokesperson for the

popular,

Cuca Gamarra, in an appearance at the party headquarters.

"Yesterday we were waiting for explanations but we see that the PSOE is increasingly opaque and chooses to say that nothing has happened here and that it only affected one person. But there is more and more information on the matter and during the year 2022 several were fired senior leaders of the party in the

Canary Islands,

which shows that the party knew what was happening".

With these arguments, Gamarra has justified the decision of the PP to request a commission of investigation.

The spokeswoman has insisted that the commission is "more necessary than ever" to go to the end in a case "full of bites, drugs and prostituted women."

"You have to know how far this goes because we are talking about the use of the offices of a group, the socialist, to allegedly commit crimes, they are facilities of Congress and you have to know everything that has happened," she explained.

"You have to know which deputies participated in this, who they were, what capacity they had to influence decisions and laws of this Congress and of the Ministries of Spain. It is time for Congress not to look the other way. This requires explanations and an investigation. The honorability of the deputies is being questioned," added Gamarra.

The PP, as the first opposition party, thus takes the first step towards the creation of a commission that a good number of parliamentary formations, including some usually allied to the Government, are willing to support.
