Consell's Insular Highway Directorate

.

Carreteras had already reported cuts on the Ma-10 highways from kilometer 6 to 47.5 (Pollença-Fornalutx), the Ma-2100, from km 1 to 18 (Bunyola-Orient);

and the Ma-11A from km 16.97 to 27.79 (Coll de Sóller).

There are also closures on the Ma-15.

Specifically, at kilometers 43.1 --closed by the Son Nuviet underpass-- and 37.3 --closed by the Son Ramon underpass--.

The section from km 36 to 40 of the Ma-15, which had been closed to traffic due to the fall

of a high-voltage cable

due to the storm, has now been reopened, after the cable was removed from the road.

Carreteras remembers that in case of heavy rain, low beams should be turned on to improve visibility, increase the safety distance between vehicles and reduce speed.

He recommends avoiding sudden braking, not driving through flooded areas and stopping in a safe place if deemed necessary.

It also advises to carry the mobile phone with enough battery in case you have to call emergencies.
