In the evening, it will be held at Guangzhou Hongxian Women's Grand Theatre.

That night, performers from the five major operas, Peking Opera, Cantonese Opera, Kunqu Opera, Wu Opera, and Qin Opera performed on the same stage, presenting the extraordinary charm of opera, an excellent traditional Chinese art.

  The whole event was full of classics and colorful arts.

The performance kicked off with the Cantonese song "Encountering Lingnan". The show was sung by Ou Kaiming, Li Junsheng, Chen Yunhong, Cui Yumei, Su Chunmei, Wu Feifan and other Cantonese opera masters. Dozens of young actors from the Guangzhou Cantonese Theater appeared on the stage in colorful costumes. The scene is huge and magnificent.

  Afterwards, Ou Kaiming and Li Junsheng jointly performed Cantonese opera "Yi Shui Sends Jing Ke off"; Li Jiayi, a national first-class actor, performed the classic Cantonese opera classic "Zhaojun's Exodus", and Su Chunmei and Chen Zhenjiang, a young civil and military student, performed excerpts from "The Unruly Princess Stupid Son-in-law".

  During the performance, performances from Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera, Wu Opera, and Qin Opera were also brilliant.

Peking opera performing artists Yu Kuizhi and Li Shengsu performed excerpts from classic Peking operas such as "Da Dengdian", "The Drunken Concubine" and "Siro Visits His Mother"; young Peking opera actors Zhu Hong, Gao Cui, Lu Yaoyao, Zhang Xinxin, Dai Zhongyu and Zheng Gaolu respectively performed Peking opera "Tiannv San" Excerpts from "Flower", "Princess Shuangyang", "Suolin Bag", "Matchmaker" and "Qingshi Mountain".

The Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television and the Chinese Dramatists Association signed an agreement on the 31st Plum Blossom Award for Chinese Drama.

  In addition, young Wu opera performers Chen Lili, Yang Xiayun and Lou Sheng performed the "Broken Bridge" of the classic Wu opera "Legend of the White Snake"; young Qin opera actors Wang Hang and Guo Jun performed the classic Qin opera "Yellow Crane Tower"; young Kunqu opera actors Wang Hengtao, Wang Wenhui performed "Secret Counseling" from Kunqu Opera "The Peony Pavilion".

  On the day of the event, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television and the Chinese Dramatists Association signed an agreement on the 31st Plum Blossom Award for Chinese Drama.

The final on-site evaluation of the 31st Plum Blossom Awards for Chinese Drama will be held in Guangzhou in May 2023.

The Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award is the highest award in Chinese drama performance art.
