“No casualties and destruction allowed”: the Russian Defense Ministry announced the suppression of an attempt at a massive attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Crimea

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the prevention of an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a massive drone attack on Crimean facilities.

“Six Ukrainian strike unmanned vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

Four more Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were disabled by means of electronic warfare.

There were no casualties or destruction on earth,” said Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, official representative of the department.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 15 Ukrainian drones were destroyed by air defense means in Kherson, Zaporozhye and Kharkiv regions, as well as in the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics.

In addition, aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-24 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in an air battle.

The situation in the special operation areas

In the Kupyansk direction, assault, army aviation, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the Western group of forces hit enemy units in the Kharkov region.

Also in this area and in the Luhansk People's Republic, three sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed.

During the day, the enemy lost up to 90 Ukrainian soldiers, three pickup trucks, and a D-30 howitzer in this direction.

In the Krasnolimansky direction, the active actions of units and artillery fire of the "Center" group hit the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of several settlements of the DPR and LPR.

During the day, the enemy lost over 150 servicemen, four armored combat vehicles, as well as Msta-B and D-30 howitzers.

In turn, in the Donetsk direction, during the active operations of units and artillery fire of the Yuzhnaya group of forces, up to 190 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored combat vehicles, 16 vehicles, as well as D-20 and D-30 howitzers were destroyed per day.

Along with this, the ammunition depot of the 110th mechanized brigade and the fuel storage base of the 36th marines brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed.

In the South-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the artillery of the Vostok group of troops hit units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Ugledar and Nikolskoye (DPR), as well as Chervonoe, Novodanilovka and Shcherbaki (Zaporozhye region).

Enemy losses per day in these areas amounted to 80 soldiers, one tank, four armored combat vehicles and a D-30 howitzer.

In the Kherson direction, up to 85 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, three armored combat vehicles, 12 vehicles, and two Akatsiya self-propelled howitzers were destroyed by artillery fire per day.

In addition, the ammunition depot of the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade was destroyed.

The Russian Guard said that the department’s specialists neutralized an enemy strike drone filled with 25 kg of hexogen.

It is noted that the UAV did not reach the peaceful infrastructure of the LPR and fell in the forest belt.

As clarified in the department, local residents reported about the likely place of the fall of the device, after which the National Guard, together with employees of the LPR Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrived in the specified area.

National Guard specialists determined that the drone is externally identical to the Chinese model of the Mugin-5 UAV, which is used in agriculture.

The length of the apparatus is 3.5 m, the wingspan reaches 5 m, and the weight is more than 30 kg.

When inspecting the drone, the National Guard found 25 kg of hexogen, after which the device, together with the contents, was neutralized in compliance with security measures.
