Human rights organizations monitored the case of the 9-year-old Karrar, who entered the Ibn al-Balady Hospital for Children and Women in Sadr City, east of Baghdad, unconscious, as a result of being brutally beaten and ironed by his father, according to what those organizations reported.

The "Sandha" organization for women's rights in Iraq published a video clip showing the "catastrophic" condition of the child, Karrar, upon his arrival at the hospital, accompanied by a person who said he was his father, but he fled when people gathered around the child, according to the organization.

The video shows the loss of consciousness of the child, Karrar, with blue bruises on his face and eye area, in addition to traces of new and old burns in large parts of the child's body, as well as clear signs confirming that he was severely beaten with sharp instruments.

The "Sandha" organization for women's rights wrote on the video details about the child's health condition, stressing that "Karrar suffers from severe trauma that prevented him from speaking or giving any information except for revealing his name."

The organization said that "the severe violence to which the child was subjected led to hemorrhage in the kidneys, after which he was transferred to the intensive care unit at Al-Shahid Al-Sadr Hospital."

The human rights organization stated that the medical examination of the child, Karrar, confirmed that he had been raped, in addition to the series of beatings and ironing, which were documented in the video clip and confirmed by medical reports.

The organization deplored the failure to pursue the supervisory or medical authorities inside Ibn al-Baladi Hospital, the father of the child during his escape, calling on the Iraqi Ministry of Interior to follow up on Karrar's health and legal status against his parents.

Meanwhile, the doctors supervising the child's condition confirmed, in a press statement, that he had been subjected to sexual harassment, in addition to healing previous fractures he had suffered as a result of severe beatings, pointing out that the child's identity is unknown until now.

In turn, the director of the community police in the Department of Relations and Information at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Ghaleb Al-Attiyah, said during his visit to the child Karrar, that the security services are looking for the father of the child who fled after he was taken to the hospital, stressing in a televised statement that the law will take its course with the parents of the child after finding them. .

Al-Attiyah added, in a post that he attached to his Facebook account, that "the child is under the care of a member of the community police until the completion of the treatment stages, in order to ensure that he is not subjected to any form of harm until his family reaches him."

And on social media, Iraqis called on the concerned authorities to impose the most severe penalties against the family of the child Karrar, and not to be complacent with the case or remain silent about it for any reason.

Activist and journalist Nour Al-Qaisi called on everyone who knows the child to provide information about his family so that they can be reported, saying: "The silence about the torture of children with such brutality is a disaster from which no stone or human being will be spared."

As for the human rights activist Dina Al-Taei, she called for justice in the case of the child Karrar, saying: "Karrar's case is not the first, and it will not be the last, and such cases will continue to be repeated due to the negligence in enacting a deterrent law that limits domestic violence and protects the child, especially from any manifestation of violence." Although Iraq accedes to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

It is noteworthy that Iraq has recorded many cases of domestic violence during the past years, which included children and wives, some of which led to death, while the Domestic Violence Law is still locked up in Parliament amid opposition by some political parties to its approval.

This is a father, Lou Majr*m. The sponsorship of this child should be withdrawn from his parents immediately‼ https://t.co/LyCfOXXNNw

And from someone who demands a law that stops domestic violence, they say that the family will be dismantled, and how can we educate our ignorance!!

This is your upbringing, and this is your understanding of the family?

It is because you don't have a response and there is no law that is coming and going to kill if he is violent or harassed. "Forest" #Legislation_law_of_domestic_violence
