The Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors said that one person was killed during the protests today, Tuesday, in the capital, Khartoum, bringing the total number of deaths since the October 2021 procedures to 125.

And the medical committee stated, in a statement, that the data of the dead man who was killed during his participation in demonstrations in the East Nile region, east of Khartoum, had not yet been identified, adding that he was hit by a bullet fired by the "power forces."

And Anatolia Agency reported that the Sudanese police fired stun grenades and tear gas to disperse new demonstrations in the capital, Khartoum, in protest against the "framework agreement" signed between civilians and the military.

The Coordination Committees of the Resistance Committees in Khartoum State called for participation in demonstrations in Khartoum, Khartoum North and Omdurman, to demand civil rule and the removal of the military from the political life of the country, and to reject any political settlement between civilians and the military, in addition to demanding accountability for those involved in the killing of demonstrators.

Evidence procedures

On January 8, the final stage of the political process began between the signatories of the "framework agreement" concluded on December 5 between the military and civilians, to reach an agreement that would solve the crisis in the country.

The ongoing political process aims to resolve a prolonged crisis since October 25, 2021, when the head of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, imposed exceptional measures, including the dissolution of the Sovereign Council and the Transitional Ministers, the arrest of ministers and politicians, the declaration of a state of emergency, and the dismissal of governors (governors).

And before Al-Burhan's exceptional measures, on August 21, 2019, a transitional phase began in Sudan, which was scheduled to end with elections in early 2024, during which power would be shared by the army, civil forces, and armed movements that signed the Juba Peace Agreement with the government in 2020.
