The Agricultural Show, which opened its doors last Saturday, is also an opportunity to discover new agricultural innovations.

This year, you will be able to discover Fairme, a workshop for managing the transformation of fresh milk into pasteurized milk, cheeses and yoghurts.

What to get directly from the farm next to you.

At the Salon de l'Agriculture, you can meet passionate breeders, see fascinating animals and discover technological innovations.

After two and a half years of research and development, Fairme is making its first appearance at the Salon de l'Agriculture.

A revolution on the farm

Fairme, is the very first autonomous dairy processing workshop.

At the Salon de l'Agriculture, a large wooden shed the size of a shipping container is on display.

The roof is covered with solar panels and it is impossible to see what is hidden inside.

Only a small window allows you to see the dairy products on sale.

"Inside this autonomous workshop, we have a whole set of modules that reproduce traditional gestures. We're really going to have robotic arms that will be able to grab elements and move matter. But we also have a whole set of sensors which allow us to analyze the temperature, the amount of protein, fat to be able to make a yoghurt, a fromage blanc or a tomme”, explains Loïc Lecerf, 42, the inventor of Fairme.

A hundred farms equipped next year

A little further down the aisles of the show, this invention does not seem to be unanimous, some breeders like Violaine fear robotization.

"Arriving in the morning with the milk from the milking and at the end of having made yogurts, butter, fresh cream, it's very rewarding, it's a shame to entrust that to robots!"

Fairme will do its first full-scale test near Grenoble in a few weeks.

It should equip a hundred farms by next year.
