The Russian armed forces in the Kupyansk direction defeated the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was stated during the briefing by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

He noted that the enemy in this direction lost up to 25 servicemen and two cars per day.

In the Krasnolimansky direction, units of the "Center" grouping of troops hit the enemy's manpower and equipment in the LPR.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 120 servicemen, four armored combat vehicles and an Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer.

As noted in the Russian Defense Ministry, in the Donetsk direction, as a result of the actions of units of the Southern Group of Forces, air strikes and artillery fire, about 350 Ukrainian military personnel, two armored combat vehicles, four vehicles, a D-20 howitzer and two D-30 howitzers were destroyed per day.

In the Yuzhno-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, special operations of the RF Armed Forces inflicted a comprehensive fire defeat on the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​​​Vogledar and Shevchenko (DPR), as well as Zeleny Guy (Zaporozhye region).

Enemy losses amounted to 45 people killed and wounded, two infantry fighting vehicles and three pickup trucks were destroyed.

Vladimir Putin, during his speech at a meeting of the FSB collegium, called the trust of the residents of Donbass a reliable support for the authorities.

The President also stressed that the Russian-Ukrainian section of the border should be under special control of the FSB Border Guard Service.

The group deployed there includes units of border agencies, FSB aviation, the armed forces and the National Guard, the Russian leader noted.

“Your task is to put a barrier in the way of sabotage groups, to stop attempts to illegally transport weapons and ammunition into Russia,” Putin said at a meeting of the FSB board.

The head of state stressed that 2022 was a special year for the FSB: “FSB units took a direct part in a special military operation, solved complex, non-standard operational tasks here, covered the state border, actively fought against terrorism, organized crime, corruption, and extremism.”
