Concerning Prime Minister Kishida's consideration of a visit to Ukraine, the ruling and opposition parties have expressed a series of opinions that exceptionally they would accept the visit without a prior report to the Diet from the perspective of information security.

The government plans to continue making adjustments to realize the visit while assessing how much understanding will spread among the parties.

Regarding the visit to Ukraine that Prime Minister Kishida is considering, there are concerns about ensuring safety, as it is difficult to maintain information due to the custom of reporting overseas business trips to the Diet in advance.



Regarding this, Secretary-General Motegi of the Liberal Democratic Party said, "It is natural that sufficient consideration is required, such as ensuring safety and responding to unforeseen situations." There are a series of opinions from the ruling and opposition parties that exceptionally allow visits without prior reports to the Diet.



The government perceives this as a move to consider diplomacy as the chair country of the G7 = seven major countries, and is determined to see how far understanding spreads among the parties.



However, it has been pointed out that it will not be easy for Japan, which does not have a military or special forces like other G7 nations, to ensure security on the battlefield, and so, along with responding to these issues, the government has decided to make the visit a reality. We will continue to make adjustments.
