He called Beijing's position on the Ukrainian conflict consistent and clear. 

“It is based on facilitating peace negotiations and facilitating a political settlement of the crisis,” RIA Novosti quoted Ning as saying.

The diplomat stressed that China maintains constant contacts with all parties to the conflict, including Ukraine.

On February 24, the Chinese Foreign Ministry published proposals to resolve the situation in Ukraine.

The plan consists of 12 points.

It calls for the start of peace talks and a ceasefire.

Also, the Chinese side opposes unilateral sanctions, which only create new problems.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said China's proposals for a settlement were not a peace plan but Beijing's reflections.
