As experts noted, 27% of respondents believe that a modern dad should be strict.

Another 26% believe that the father should be responsible, 19% - strong and masculine, 16% - caring, 13% - flexible and understanding. 

At the same time, 11% of the respondents said that the father should participate in the upbringing of the child on an equal basis with the mother, 10% - that it is important for dads to understand hand tools and computer technology. 

The most important thing a father should teach a child is honesty and decency.

So consider 42% of the polled Russians.

Another 35% believe that this list should include the ability to stand up for oneself, manual labor (19%), kindness (15%), and so on. 

Respondents consider tools (28%), household appliances (17%), certificates to the marketplace (15%), goods for hobbies (11%) and sports (10%) to be the main gift for dad. 

In turn, a modern mother, according to 26% of Russians, should be caring.

Another 25% of respondents are sure that the main qualities of a mother are strength and independence, 22% - flexibility and the ability to understand a child, 17% - sentimentality and the ability to experience, 16% - responsibility.

Speaking about the duties of mothers, the Russians noted that the mother should instill in the child honesty and decency (33% of the Russians surveyed), as well as kindness (30%).

In addition, she should help her child master academic disciplines (27%), teach them how to cook and clean the house (20%), and stand up for themselves (10%). 

According to 37% of respondents, mothers today do not have enough time for themselves and their hobbies.

Another 31% believe that women lack femininity and tenderness, 18% - a goal in life.  

The majority of respondents (33%) consider flowers to be the best gift for mom.

Almost one in four (26%) are sure that their mother will be delighted with jewelry, 23% - with goods for hobbies, and 11% - with goods for the home. 

As specified, the study involved 1,522 residents of all regions of Russia over 18 years old. 

A survey conducted earlier by the AlfaStrakhovanie insurance company showed that 81% of Russians are grateful to their parents.
