“Due to the inclusion of Primorye Bank in the US sanctions list, transactions with Union Pay cards abroad may be blocked,” the message says.

The credit institution advised customers abroad to withdraw cash in the near future.

At the same time, the cards will continue to work in Russia.

The US Treasury previously imposed sanctions against a number of Russian banks, including financial institutions Uralsib, Zenit, Credit Bank of Moscow, and MTS Bank.

The UK authorities also announced new sanctions against four Russian banks.
