Hungarian authorities say they would veto sanctions against Russian nuclear energy

This was stated by the head of the administration of the Prime Minister of Hungary Gergely Guyash.

“In no form (sanctions against nuclear energy from Russia are not presented in the tenth package. -

As Guiyash noted, if they had been presented, the Hungarian authorities would have vetoed them.

On February 16, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the country would do everything so that in the tenth package of sanctions against Russia there would be no restrictions on oil supplies through Druzhba and cooperation with Russia in the nuclear field.

On February 24, he said that the tenth package of European Union sanctions against Russia did not affect the nuclear industry.
