Sandhem's school has such great health risks that it must be demolished, according to the municipality, which is now proposing to reorganize the school into modules for the pre-school classes and relocation to Mullsjö for the primary school classes.

With relocation comes either commuting or a municipal school bus.

- Those who commute to Tidaholm, Falköping or Skövde will have to travel an extra two miles every day to pick up and drop off their children, says Emma Hartelius.

Environmentally hazardous toxins on the premises

For a long time, staff at the school have experienced problems such as cold symptoms and headaches, which in turn led to an investigation.

The latest report from December shows deficiencies so great that the school is unusable.

- We are required to move the children out of school.

We must do that quickly but without panic, says Per Högberg (KD), chairman of the municipal board in Mullsjö.

Called to a meeting

According to parents, PCBs, polychlorinated biphenyls, have been discovered, among other things, which are several different environmentally toxic substances that are long-lived and fat-soluble.

- It is incredibly badly managed, this cannot be unknown to the municipality.

There are notes on the windows, says Amanda Östman.

The parents were called to a meeting last Wednesday where the municipality explained the circumstances and the plan for the school.

Governing politicians cannot make any promises about a new school in Sandhem, see more about that in the clip above.
