Ning Hanhao said that sufficient land supply is the key to promoting Hong Kong's economic and industrial development.

  Ning Hanhao said that the 2023/2024 land sales plan includes 12 residential lands, which can provide about 9,120 residential units; 3 commercial lands, which can provide a total floor area of ​​more than 200,000 square meters; 3 industrial lands, which can provide The total floor area is about 170,000 square meters.

  She pointed out that while the SAR government is carrying out large-scale development in the New Territories of Hong Kong, it will also adopt comprehensive planning to provide sufficient land for the industry for long-term development under the consideration of the benefits of centralized development.

In 2023/2024, three pieces of industrial land in Yuen Long will be launched to develop modern industrial buildings, thereby improving land efficiency and promoting industrial development.

  In addition, from April to June this year, the SAR government will invite tenders for the sale of two residential sites in Tsuen Wan and Kennedy Town, which can provide a total of about 2,400 units for construction.

Together with the 5 private development/redevelopment projects that are expected to complete lease modification within the first quarter, the private housing land supply in the first quarter of 2023/2024 is estimated to provide about 2,760 units.

  Ning Hanhao said that in order to meet the needs of the society for housing and socio-economic development, the SAR government will continue to take a multi-pronged approach to maintain a continuous and stable land supply.
