It was late in the evening on November 15 that a neighbor found the dead man in a small park in the residential area.
Several people have been suspected of involvement in the suspected murder, but now the prosecutor has brought charges of murder against a man in his 40s.
The prosecutor's theory is that the act took place in connection with the transfer of narcotics, but it should not be connected to gang crime.
- The accused man has initially denied any involvement but has since admitted during the preliminary investigation that he stabbed the plaintiff but has claimed that he acted in self-defence when the plaintiff tried to rob him, says District Attorney Birgitta Fernlund in a press release.
Woman may have hidden the murder weapon
A woman in her 50s is charged with protecting a criminal.
- It is about the suspected woman getting rid of the knife that was used and the slippers the man wore at the time of the crime.
The woman has admitted about the slippers but denied about the knife, says the prosecutor.
The trial is expected to take three days and will be held in Gävle district court in mid-March.
