Al-Jazeera correspondent in the Gaza Strip reported that a number of rockets were fired towards Israeli settlements bordering the Strip, while the occupation army said that warning sirens were activated in Ashkelon and Sderot in the Gaza border area.

The Israeli occupation army said - in a statement - that it had intercepted several missiles fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli towns and settlements adjacent to the border with the Strip.

He explained that Iron Dome intercepted 5 rockets fired from the Gaza Strip, while another rocket landed in an open area.

This comes after the death of 11 Palestinians and the injury of more than 100 others, some of them seriously, during the occupation forces storming the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank, according to what the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced.

Large forces of the occupation army stormed Sheikh Muslim neighborhood on the outskirts of the Old City in Nablus and surrounded a house, amid heavy gunfire.

The Israeli army said that its forces had liquidated members of the Jihad Movement and the Lions' Den, noting that they were "involved in shooting its forces."


11 martyrs and dozens of wounded

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the death of 11 Palestinians, including a child and two elderly people, and the wounding of 102, including 7 in serious condition.

The ministry stated - in a statement - that the martyrs were: Adnan Baara (72 years old), Muhammad Anbousi (25 years old), Tamer Minawi (33 years old), Musab Awais (26 years old), Hussam Aslim (24 years old), and Muhammad Abdul Ghani (23 years old). 23-year-old Walid Dakhil, 61-year-old Abd al-Hadi al-Ashqar, 16-year-old Muhammad Shaaban and 23-year-old Jasser Qaneer.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent said that its members dealt with dozens of people who were wounded by live bullets, in addition to 250 people who suffocated.

Al-Jazeera correspondent said that 3 journalists were wounded by the occupation bullets while they were covering the storming of the city of Nablus, while the Israeli occupation army announced its withdrawal from the city 3 hours after its storming.


The funeral of the martyrs

On Wednesday evening, thousands of Palestinians mourned the bodies of the martyrs who were shot dead by the Israeli occupation during the aggression on the city of Nablus. The funeral procession departed from Rafidia Hospital to the Martyrs' Circle.

The Lions' Den group in Nablus called on its cadres to prepare for a response, and said in a statement that it would not back down and would continue the path. The Al-Quds Brigades also announced the martyrdom of the Nablus battalion commander, Muhammad Abu Bakr Junaidi, during the confrontations.

For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades in Gaza warned that its patience is running out, while the Palestinian leadership and the government called on the international community to intervene to protect the Palestinian people.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian factions in the West Bank announced a comprehensive strike today, Thursday, to mourn the souls of the martyrs.

Dozens of Palestinians participated on Wednesday afternoon in an angry march in the city of Ramallah, condemning the occupation's storming of Nablus. Dozens also demonstrated in the Gaza Strip near the separating fence, condemning the Israeli massacre in Nablus. During the demonstration, the Palestinians chanted slogans calling for a "response."
