A new government bill is being prepared for the spring to improve working conditions for the French.

In the measures envisaged, the executive wishes in particular to encourage career development, retraining or even the four-day week.

After its controversial pension reform, the government is preparing a new bill for the spring, which aims to improve the living conditions of the French in the professional context.

A first measure envisaged is that of the obligation for profitable companies with less than 50 employees to pay a profit-sharing, a participation or a tax-free bonus to its employees.

For large companies, the government is still thinking about a way to better distribute the exceptional profits, in other words the "superprofits".

Career development, retraining, four-day week...

It is therefore a way for Emmanuel Macron to meet the objective of "working better", after having tackled "working more" with the pension reform.

The popularization of a "universal" time savings account will then be at the center of this project, especially since it was included in the president's campaign promises.

To improve the quality of life at work for the French, the government thus intends to encourage prospects for career development, retraining or even the four-day week, which is already being tested in certain administrations.

Like the pension reform, this bill will be presented by Olivier Dussopt, and represents the opportunity for the executive to reassert itself as the standard-bearer of workers, a value often attributed to the left, while some elected officials claim the right to laziness.
