- It has been a long process and it is nice that we have now received a decision from the Court of Appeal.

The decision can still be appealed but it is a step forward in the work, says Daniel Håkansson property manager at Jönköping Municipality in a press release.

It was in the fall of 2021 that the municipal council decided that a new bathhouse would be built at Rosenlund.

The plan was for construction to start in 2023, but one of the three architectural firms involved in the process appealed the procurement.

Up in the municipal council again

In April 2022, the architectural firm was rejected in its appeal in the administrative court.

Now the court of appeals has also tried the issue and follows the line of the administrative court and gives Jönköping municipality the right.

The issue of building a new bathhouse will be taken up again in the municipal council in the spring because the costs have increased by over 20 percent since the decision on a new bathhouse was made in 2021. Then the council must make a decision to push for more money, but there may also be talk of lean the project.
