Putin said that Russia will continue to pay increased attention to strengthening the nuclear triad

The head of state said this in his congratulations on the occasion of the Defender of the Fatherland Day.

"We will pay increased attention, as before, to strengthening the nuclear triad," Putin said.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin previously stated the need to improve the nuclear triad and maintain combat readiness, calling these aspects the main guarantee of the country's sovereignty.

Putin added that Russia will continue to build up its military potential.
