Investigative Committee of Russia announced the arrest of the alleged arsonist of the hostel in Moscow

“A native of the Belgorod region was detained, who will soon be taken to a subdivision of the capital’s Investigative Committee for investigative actions,” RIA Novosti quotes a statement.

Earlier it was reported that as a result of a fire in the MKM hotel in the center of Moscow, seven people died.

The Russian Investigative Committee has already opened a criminal case into the incident.

Later, Yulia Ivanova, senior assistant to the head of the Moscow headquarters of the Russian Investigative Committee, said that the fire at the MKM hotel on Mezhdunarodnaya Street in the center of Moscow occurred as a result of arson.
