The exhibition will be open to the public on the 22nd, displaying a total of 220 sets of ancient Chinese gold wares.

The exhibition is divided into three parts, namely "New Style: Grassland and Early China", "Mutual Learning: Tubo and Tang Dynasty", and "Harmony: Liao Song to Ming Dynasty".

Treasures on display include the golden crowns used by the nobles of the Huns, the banner ornaments with Central Plains decorations used by the Tubo nobles, and the inlaid crown ornaments worn by princesses of the Tang Dynasty, which borrowed from Central and Western ornaments in craftsmanship.

Most of the exhibits in this exhibition were donated to the Hong Kong Palace Museum by the owners of Dream Butterfly Pavilion Lu Yinyin and Zhu Weiji. The earliest exhibits can be traced back to the 18th century BC.

Liu Zhen, Acting Secretary of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, said that he believes that this exhibition will attract audiences at home and abroad, promote cultural tourism in Hong Kong, and further help Hong Kong develop into a capital of cultural and artistic events.

Tam Yun Chi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, said that this exhibition showcases the unique trade and cultural exchanges and evolution of ancient China, and deepens the audience's understanding of the concept of unity and diversity of the Chinese nation.

The breadth and depth of this batch of artifacts is rare in similar collections, providing valuable materials for the study and display of the evolution of Chinese culture and art.
