Are the 24 euro banknotes as numerous as expected.

Since the opening of the first phase of ticket sales, customers have been complaining about the excessive prices of available seats.

To attend certain events, the tickets climb "minimum (to) 700 euros per person. It's madness", regrets a selected one.

Proofs at only 24 euros.

This was the promise of the Paris 2024 Olympics when the ticket office opened for customers drawn by lot.

But in fact, out of the three million tickets offered, very few displayed this attractive price.

"The places at 24 euros, even those at 50 or 90 euros were no longer available for athletics, boxing, fencing, basketball, etc ...", explains at the microphone of Europe 1 Julien, who is one of the lucky ones selected to buy tickets.

"Minimum 700 euros per person"

His enthusiasm quickly waned when he saw the prices, recognizes the young man.

"I took what I could in a fairly limited budget. I selected weightlifting, which was the only activity at 24 €, and field hockey. I have it for 155 euros", underlines Julien.

And for certain disciplines such as athletics or swimming, prices are skyrocketing.

Sophie had the bitter experience of it.

"It's a minimum of €700 per person to attend the competitions. It's madness," she warns.

But, then, where are the places at 24 euros, promised by the organizers.

A second sales session in mid-March

"It was the principle of first come, first served when you are drawn. So inevitably, the people who passed at the beginning rather took places at 24 euros. And then it goes crescendo in terms of prices", explains Axel May, journalist at the sport service of Europe 1.

For those who will not be drawn, a second sales session will be organized from March 15th.
