It was Forsmark's reactor 2 that, after a minor steam leak at the large nuclear power plant, was forced to reduce its electricity production, which TT was the first to report.

During the night of Saturday, production was reduced to half of the reactor's capacity, before the fault could be fixed.

- We were still able to deliver electricity by reducing power while the problem was fixed, says Juliette Smulders, communicator at Forsmark to TT.

Electricity production on the way up again

Over the weekend, the fault was rectified and now the reactor is expected to slowly return to full capacity.

- Everything has gone according to plan.

Forsmark 2 is now on its way to full power at a slow pace, which is expected to be reached on Monday morning, says Juliette Smulders.
