Callers who alerted the police late on Friday evening had heard bangs in central Trelleborg and seen a man lying on the ground.
When the police arrived at the scene, a man was found lying on the ground on Nygatan shortly before 11 pm on Friday evening, according to information to SVT.

Several shots
The man had been shot with several shots.
The police performed CPR on the man, who then went to the hospital in an ambulance.
The police have cordoned off the area, are carrying out a technical investigation at the site and are using dog patrols.
