“The statements of a high-ranking representative of the State Department on February 16 about supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine in delivering strikes on the Crimea are a clear confirmation of Russia’s position on the direct involvement of the United States in the conflict,” Girenko quoted RIA Novosti as saying.
According to him, this is an acknowledgment that the US administration is fueling Kyiv's ambitions to attack Russia.
He noted that this is not only Washington's rhetoric, but also direct actions, such as the supply of weapons, consultations of the Ukrainian military.
Earlier, Nuland said that military facilities in Crimea are “legitimate targets” for the Ukrainian army.
