The tours around the riding facility have become a boring series for those bitten by horses in Gällivare.

The new facility that will replace the old one has only been built to a third of what is planned.

There is a riding stable and a café area.

Remaining to be built is a second riding house, stables, changing rooms and offices.

In the meantime, it is intended that parts of the business will be conducted in the building that is to be dismantled and where maintenance is deferred.

But now black mold has been discovered in the stables, which have been closed with immediate effect.

- We are not going to open the door there at all.

You don't want the bad air to enter the stables, says riding school manager Lotta Lindelöf.

Large lost income

Around SEK 400,000 in revenue is lost to the riding club because of the mold.

The new venture that the club had envisioned with new riding school students from the long queue must be put on hold.

The bidding process was suspended last autumn, but is now running again.

According to Henrik Ölvebo (Mp), municipal councilor and chairman of the municipal board's youth, leisure and culture committee, the aim is for the construction to start before the bare ground season.
