Rent negotiations in Umeå have stalled - 6,000 apartments are affected

The lease negotiations have been ongoing since September 2022. At the turn of the year, the Tenants' Association announced that they were worried that the negotiations would run aground - something that has now happened.

The opposing party, the Property Owners Mittnord, are surprised and disappointed that the Tenants' Association left the negotiations.

The tenant association wanted to waive a standard clause and wants to determine the level in time, which is not standard, says Lisa Hjelm, business policy manager, Fastighetsägarna Mittnord and continues:

- It is no secret that the level we landed on is far from the need we have.

The tenant association plays a high game and it is incomprehensible to leave for such a clause.

Now we're at zero and that doesn't benefit anyone.
