The horse was found on February 8 and now the animal welfare police in Stockholm have received the results of the autopsy.
- The cause of death is massive brain bleeding, caused by some form of blunt force to the head.
Worth mentioning is that the horse died immediately, according to the vet, says police spokesperson Carina Skagerlind to helagotland.se.
The case is classified as suspected animal cruelty, but according to Skagerlind, it is not easy to say whether a human caused the injuries.
- In theory, the horse could have hit its head.
But we see it as highly unlikely that it would have done so with the force required.
