Huge favorite of the event, the 25-year-old skier first assured in the first run, concluded in second position behind Schwarz, untouchable.
Then Odermatt put pressure on Schwarz, taking the leader's seat before the Austrian took off.
As often, the 27-year-old skier cracked under the pressure to finally take third place behind "Odi" and Loïc Meillard, author of a fantastic second run.

Frenchman Alexis Pinturault saw his medal hopes dashed in the first run, finishing in eleventh position due to a fault.
Performing in the second, in the station of his childhood, the leader of the Tricolores made a good comeback, finishing in seventh place.
