Such an appeal, according to RIA Novosti, was made by senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal.

“The next thing Ukraine needs is fighter jets,” Graham said.

As for Blumenthal, the legislator expressed hope for an early delivery of ATACMS missile systems to Ukraine, which have a range of up to 300 km.

Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced the need to intensify support provided by Western countries to Ukraine in the coming weeks.

Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystaiko expressed confidence that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will eventually receive fighter jets from Western countries, but this will happen at a later stage of the conflict.
