There were strong emotions in the courtroom on Thursday morning when pictures from Ulf Sandberg's childhood were shown.

And when SVT met Linda Canéus for an interview after she made her final plea, she too was noticeably moved.

"Unpleasant Days"

- It has been an unpleasant few days in the Kalmar district court for relatives and listeners, says prosecutor Linda Caneus.

During closing arguments, she requested that the 27-year-old man who, according to the police investigation, inflicted the fatal stab wounds be sentenced to life in prison for murder.

- I also demand eight to nine years in prison for the co-accused, says Linda Caneus.

Just as before, she pointed out that the state of evidence is good.

- There are videos, several witnesses have seen the beating and knife murder of Sandberg.

The 30-year-old co-defendant filmed with the 27-year-old's mobile phone and blocked Sandberg from being able to escape, says prosecutor Linda Caneus in court.

Robbed and murdered in the open street

It was last September that the disabled Ulf Sandberg was stabbed to death in central Oskarshamn.

SVT has previously reported that the case stirred up strong emotions in Oskarshamn.

Ulf Sandberg was a well-known and popular profile in Oskarshamn, not least for his involvement as a supporter in the ice hockey club IK-Oskarshamn.

His brother Per Sandberg previously told about the feelings before the trial.

Many have also reacted to the brutality he was subjected to by the two men, who were both physically superior, but also to the fact that they were two people attacking a single person.
