The origin of the mysterious fourth object that was dropped over Lake Huron last Sunday, within what is now known as unknown anomalous phenomena, is still unknown, as well as the origin of the second and third objects that were dropped over Alaska, on the tenth of February and over Canada the next day. .

As for the first object, it was identified as a Chinese observation balloon, and it was dropped on February 4, 2023, and China has denied its involvement in any illegal action in this regard.

Aviation and environmental experts explained to Newsweek that the octagonal shape of the fourth body was unusual, while the first balloon was round, and the third was cylindrical.

The octagonal body also did not have any load suspended below it, unlike the other structures.

According to Guy Graton, assistant professor of aviation and environment at Cranfield University in Britain, such a shape is sensitive when a large gas balloon is made with it, because it is structurally effective, and helps make the materials required to build the body relatively low, not to mention the relative ease of making such a vehicle. It rotates, for whatever reason, according to what is intended to be controlled.

Janet Bednarik, a historian of aviation at the University of Dayton, Ohio, stated that there are studies of the octagonal structures indicating that they have good wind-resistant aerodynamics, and that they may also be the result of a deliberate design to attract the attention of UFO observers, as the eight-sided airship may look like a flying saucer. , adding that this shape is probably the easiest to make.

Bednarik concluded that this octagonal object could be anything from a spy balloon to a hoax.

She said more about it will become clear once its wreckage is recovered.
