FT: hackers who hacked British mail demanded nearly $80 million

The material says that the Royal Mail has been negotiating with the hackers for more than three weeks, which included the company's income and business objectives.

For example, LockBit hackers demanded 0.5% of the annual revenue of International Distribution Services, which includes Royal Mail.

They "threatened" to release large amounts of mail data if negotiations failed.
