She finished ahead of her compatriot Linn Persson and the Italian Lisa Vittozzi.

The Frenchwoman Julia Simon, crowned in pursuit on Sunday and leader in the general classification of the World Cup, took 5th place.

2018 Olympic champion and 2019 world champion in the discipline, Hanna Oeberg, 27, won her second medal at these Worlds after the silver in the sprint on Friday.

In the absence of her younger sister Elvira (2nd overall in the World Cup), sick and again withdrawn as during the pursuit, it was Hanna who shone on the Oberhof shooting range and track bathed of Sun.

On this 15 km long format, where an error during the four shots (lying and standing alternately) results in a one-minute penalty (and not a lap as in the other races), Hanna Oeberg only missed one the target only once (19/20).

Her compatriot Linn Persson, already a bronze medalist in the sprint, even did better with a 20/20, but was slower on skis.

Italian Lisa Vittozzi, back after withdrawing from the chase on Sunday, completes the podium ahead of another Italian, Samuela Comola (4th) and Julia Simon (5th).

With a 17/20, the Frenchwoman could not slip onto the podium, three days after her first world title, in pursuit.

"It's a little disappointing. I'm a little angry with myself. Three faults, that could have made a decent race in the World Cup, but not there in the Championships", reacted Julia Simon, at the microphone of the L'Equipe Channel.

Competition continues on Thursday with the single mixed relay, a non-Olympic event but which Norway could take part in Johannes Boe, who has won four gold medals in four races so far in Oberhof (sprint, pursuit, individual and mixed relay ).
