According to the SFR, the average old-age insurance pension reached 20.6 thousand rubles, an increase of 14% compared to last year, social pension - 12.1 thousand rubles (+18.9%), and disability payments - 12, 5 thousand rubles (+13%).

In July 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law the creation of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund.

The fund was created by transforming the Pension Fund of Russia and joining the Social Insurance Fund.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin appointed Sergei Chirkov chairman of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund.
