The corresponding statement was made by the head of the Turkish Ministry of Justice Bekir Bozdag.

He said that "at least 64 suspects were prosecuted in 75 cases of looting."

“57 of them were arrested,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Earlier it was reported that a group of 39 Russians were evacuated on the morning of February 12 from the earthquake zone in southeastern Turkey.

Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay said the death toll from the earthquakes in Turkey has risen to 24,617.

Seismologist Alexander Gulyaev, in an interview with FAN, recalled that aftershocks after an earthquake can last more than six months, but it is rather difficult to predict their occurrence.
