- I started following Melodifestivalen when I was seven years old.

I danced along to every song.

Then it continued and I have been on site both at Malmö arena and in Växjö, says Erik Henrohn.

Getting nervous

When the pandemic came, the musical artist Emil Henrohn was completely without a job.

He started filming himself at home in the living room, and pretty soon he became a success on TikTok as the character "the mother".

He broke through later, in 2002, with the song "Jag är mamma", and today he has gained over 500,000 followers through his humorous characters.

And now he is performing in Melodifestivalen with the song "Mera mera mera".

- I have my number, I have my team, I have my team and I love the song.

It will be great fun, but it will be nerve-wracking, of course, he says.

"Here we go"

Emil has starting number 5 in competition 4. Together with the songwriters Ji Nilsson, Jakob Redzer and Marelene Strand, he has also been involved in writing the song "Mera mera mera".

- When I stand there and the TV cameras are on and I hear the countdown in my earpiece, I just think, now we're driving, says Erik Henrohn.
