On Wednesday, disaster doctor Johan von Schreeb arrived in Adana, Turkey, where he is now working with the organization of the field hospitals that have been transported there.

In addition to all those injured in the earthquake, there is a great need for other care, as the medical care on site has collapsed.

- Women who are about to give birth, young people with pneumonia, and elderly people with chronic diseases.

Many are evacuated

Many have to be evacuated, which means big challenges.

- There will never be enough help, but we do what we can.

Above all, it is the Turkish authorities and volunteers who do the big thing: they are the heroes.
