  Putin said it was the right decision to keep foreign-registered planes in Russia amid Western sanctions, "if they treat us in such a rude way, then we 'coexist with wolves and howl like wolves'" .

Putin stressed that Russia is "not rude to anyone" and is ready to pay for it, but "cannot let the industry collapse".

  Putin also proposed that the focus of development should be on domestically-made aircraft to improve the quality of all aspects of Russian-made aircraft and maintain competitiveness.
