With four nominations, he is making a strong comeback after a nine-year discographic hiatus following a burn-out.

The Belgian artist, holder of five Victories, had already returned to this high mass last year, being its honorary president.

Stromae is notably opposed to rappers Bigflo & Oli and the trio "Ephémère", composed of Grand Corps Malade, Ben Mazué and Gaël Faye, in the category of male artist.

Big winner in 2022 with 3 awards, OrelSan still has three nominations this year (including one for the song of the year), just like the Belgian singer Angèle, who is aiming in particular for the Victory of the female artist against Izïa and Apple.

The absence of specific prizes for popular musical styles, such as electro or rap, has also been the subject of much criticism.

Only Jacques, representative of this current, is named in the revelations.

For its part, rap, apart from Bigflo & Oli and OrelSan, is also under-represented in the queen categories with regard to the bubbling French-speaking scene and its hegemony.

Tiakola and Lujipeka are in the revelations and Ninho will receive a Male Artist Victory for the most streamed album.

The 38th Victories - at the Seine Musicale, at the gates of Paris - are broadcast on France 2 and France Inter from 9:10 p.m.
