Grossi during the meeting spoke about the progress of his initiative to create a security zone at the Zaporozhye NPP.

Likhachev, in turn, announced Russia's readiness to continue work on creating a security zone at the ZNPP.

The parties also confirmed the agreement to continue contacts.

Earlier it was reported that negotiations between the director general of Rosatom and the head of the IAEA began in Moscow. 

Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, said that during Grossi's visit, it was planned to discuss his new ideas for protecting the Zaporozhye NPP.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov called unacceptable the attempt to raise the issue of the jurisdiction of the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
