  In his speech, Kissinger spoke highly of the late former President Ronald Reagan.

"Every current development requires a combination of power and mediation," Reagan "knew better than anyone how to combine the elements of power and mediation."

  He noted that Reagan never wavered in his belief that "America is most secure and prosperous when it is the leader shaping a stable world."

He also said that "a stable world cannot be built on the isolationism of the United States."
