The concerts of a number of Arab artists that were to be held this February on the occasion of "Valentine's Day" were canceled, in solidarity with the victims of the humanitarian disaster that afflicted the countries of Syria and Turkey.
In Qatar, the Oryx Island administration issued a statement announcing the cancellation of Amr Diab's concert, which was scheduled to be held on February 14.
The statement issued by the event - posted on the (nammos.qatar) account on Instagram - added that Al Maha Island extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and wishes the injured a speedy recovery.

Tweeters saw that this decision is an integrated embodiment of true brotherhood and a representation of "literature, morals and Islamic values in sharing this great affliction with their brothers, and working to support them in their grief with all efforts, and not by holding singing and dancing parties, while many brothers die in Syria and Turkey."
In the same context, Egyptian singer Hani Shaker confirmed the postponement of his two concerts scheduled to be held on the occasion of "Valentine's Day" on the 11th of this month in Lebanon and on the 13th in Syria, to another date that he did not specify, offering condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

Likewise, Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury postponed his concert, which was scheduled to take place on February 18 in Turkish Cyprus, to another date.
For his part, the artist Marwan Khoury wrote - through his account on Instagram - "Given the catastrophe and tragedy that befell our brothers in Syria and because the pain is greater than any attempt to entertain him, my concerts in the Levant and Tartous will be postponed indefinitely, raising the slogan Syria is crying out, lift the siege on Syria".

The Syrian singer Hussein Al-Deek also wrote - through his official account on Instagram - "Because of the conditions that my beloved country, Syria, is going through, it was decided to cancel the concert scheduled to be held in Jordan on February 14, and to cancel the special ceremony in Dubai on February 17, and may God have mercy on the martyrs." Syria, victims of earthquakes everywhere, healed the wounded and sick, and inspired all of their families with patience and solace.

According to the latest official data, the death toll from the earthquake in Turkey exceeded 17,000, while the number of injured reached 63,794, according to statements by Fuad Oktay, the Turkish Vice President.
In Syria, the death toll has risen to 3,162 across the country, and the number of injured has reached 5,685.
