The sharp decline in the housing market that took place during 2022 is now entering a slower pace, according to Swedish Broker Statistics' latest survey.

Several Sörmland brokers that SVT Nyheter Sörmland has spoken to see a brightening.

- The buyers dare to do business again.

It is starting to become much more stable, says Robert Almgren, broker at Husrum Fastighetsmäkleri in Eskilstuna.

"Didn't dare do business"

In Sörmland, the curve for the negative price trend for villas has leveled off, even though the price of condominiums continued to fall slightly in January.

The way up is long, Sörmland has had a price development of -9.3 percent in the last twelve months for villas and -5.8 percent for condominiums.

In 2022, several major events took place that affected the market: the war in Ukraine, electricity prices, inflation, and interest rates.

- It was many things at the same time, a perfect storm.

There was a great deal of uncertainty.
