Before that, the Pentagon said that the United States allegedly had nothing to do with undermining the Nord Stream.

Earlier, an American investigative journalist, Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh wrote an article stating that US divers planted explosives under the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines under the cover of NATO exercises.

According to him, the Norwegians activated the explosives.

Hersh also said that US national security adviser Jake Sullivan was involved in drawing up a plan for a terrorist attack on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines.

The article says that US President Joe Biden decided to sabotage gas pipelines after nine months of secret discussions with the national security team.
