　　China News Service, February 8th Zhu Fenglian, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said on the 8th that we have heard the voices of the folks in Kinmen about the construction and development of Kinmen and the cooperation between Xiamen and Jinan, and we are willing to provide assistance as much as possible.

A reporter asked: According to reports, the Kinmen County Council established the "Cross-Party Political Alliance" and the "Non-Party Alliance Political Group" on the 6th, and jointly issued four major declarations calling for Kinmen to become a "permanent demilitarized zone", advocating peaceful development across the Taiwan Strait, Stay away from the war, vigorously promote the early construction of the "Jinxia Cross-sea Bridge", create a "Jinxia Special Zone" living circle, and drive economic development opportunities in Jinmen.

　　In this regard, Zhu Fenglian said that peace, development, communication, and cooperation are the common aspirations of compatriots on both sides of the strait and are in line with the common interests of compatriots on both sides of the strait.

The initiative jointly issued by relevant parties in Kinmen is a concrete manifestation of this public opinion.

　　We have always attached great importance to and actively supported the economic and social development of Kinmen, and have continued to take practical measures to improve the interests and well-being of our compatriots. In 2018, we took the lead in supplying water to Kinmen. At present, we have basically completed the preliminary technical preparations for connecting electricity, ventilation, and bridges to Kinmen.

We have heard the voices of the folks in Kinmen about the construction and development of Kinmen and the cooperation between Xiamen and Jinan, and we are willing to provide assistance as much as possible.
