In his appeal, the parliamentarian noted that veterans and disabled combatants are categories of citizens who, risking their lives, have shown personal courage in order to protect the interests of the Russian state and society.
Today they have numerous support measures, including preferential conditions for traveling by public and railway transport.
At the same time, when traveling by private vehicle on toll roads, these categories of citizens do not have any benefits, the legislator noted.
“In this regard, I ask you to consider the advisability of amending Art.
41 of the Federal Law “On Highways and Road Activities in the Russian Federation and on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation” regarding the exemption of cars of veterans and disabled combatants from charging fees when using toll roads, ”the appeal says.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the status of a veteran for volunteers participating in the NWO.
